BACKGROUND INFORMATION:
October 1, 1949 is the date of the founding of the Peoples Republic of China.  70 million victims died during those 60 years of Peoples Republic of China.  A candlelight vigil will be held to memorize those victims on the eve of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the PRC.
