Visual Artists Guild is calling for entries for its ART & DEMOCRACY
IV exhibition running from October 1st through December 31st, 2009 in
New York City at Gallery H, 222 E. 34th Street. This exhibition will
commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Tiananmen Square Massacre and
the celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
Following three successful ones in Los Angeles, this is the first New
York exhibit.
Recognizing that ART is the most powerful vehicle for expression and
that DEMOCRACY deals with the Rights of Society as a whole, we call on
artists to submit works and proposals of all media relating to the
political and social struggles of our world and the human desire for
civil liberties.
Submit entries prior to August 15, 2009 (including images, dimensions,
proposals, statements, cv/bio) to: visual.artists.guild.nyc@gmail.com
